In Morning Musings by Melinda, gifted intuitive and healer Melinda Vail shares some of her teachings as well as her own journal entries in a daybook embellished by original photographs by Robert Sharpe.
For many, journaling is one of the most important parts of their daily routine.
It and gives them a chance to polish their inner mirror, reflect on lessons learned, and update their list of intentions with items that may need more work.
Writes Melinda Vail in the Foreword: “Some people have heart break that others cannot even imagine… have gone through things that you might think only happens in the movies… have had more challenges in one lifetime that amaze me that they are still standing... I have shared time with people like this that make their lives a tribute to grace and style under pressure, an example of faith and dignity, a testament to unwavering love of what's important. It is such an honor to me to be in the presence of these people.”
From Morning Musings by Melinda:
Day Three: Time is a precious commodity often squandered and wasted out of the nature of who we are as human beings.
That is, until we begin to live on "borrowed" time and know the end is drawing near. Then every moment, every experience, every exchange, every feeling, everyone who reaches out to touch us begin to count.
Too bad we couldn't live that way when we were not on borrowed time. After all, all life is "terminal" on this planet!
Day Four: Someone with “poor me” energy never seems to understand their own contributions to the circumstances in their lives. They always ask, “Why me?”
You grow weary trying to listen, advise, or help, because they take your support and counsel while continuing to insist “you don't understand.”
They say “me me me” like an owl says “who who who.” If you are in a relationship with a “poor me,” sometimes it is best to give love and space while closing the “complaint window.” That's what counselors are for.
Otherwise, if someone drains you and you can release them, better to detach and move out of the relationship.
